Strange problem with 8051uc 16x2 lcd in 4bit mode.

thank you pratik and ExperimenterUK for your response. i also feel that the hardware is problem But i chacked all connection with 16x2 LCD and VCC,GND. I have checked adjusting VEE for contrast but no effect.I have connected Pull-UP resistor to P0.4-P0.7 only. dose it effect?

I will also check delay function hope it will work

The crystal circuit in your diagram looks okay.
Reset should normally be low, try this arrangement.

Please follow the circuit given by ExperimenterUK. You can also post your actual circuit design if in case you are still facing any problem.
