i am using STR-433(TX module 433 MHZ) & STR-433(RX module 433MHz) with the two 89c52 .For communication between the Tx and RX i need 1/4wavelength antenna of length 17 cm, can i use a normal insulated wire(single core) of 17 cm length as the antennas?

yes you can do make it 17.2 cm
