what does it mean "MPLAB WITH HI TECH C COMPILER"

hi guys someone pls explain what is "MPLAB WITH HI TECH C COMPILER" i want to study PIC Series controllers

Mplab is IDE and hitech c is compiler for pic. Microchip has now acquired hitech, and they are shipping their MPLAB software with HITECH C as compiler for pic10f, 12f and 16f series

which one is the best of following
MPLAB WITH HI TECH C COMPILER
or Micro C compiler

it your choice. both are equally good... MicroC has more integrated library support. but MPLAB is diff.. but it also has good support from the maker itself "Microchip". I myself prefer MPLAB. I use C18 compiler when working with PIC18F series and HitechC if I am using 12f or 16f series controllers.

where can i get HitechC (are there cracked versions available for MPLAB and Hitec to get rid of memory problems )
