LCD program for dspic30f2010

can anyone help me for the program for LCD interfacing with dspic30f2010.

Choose how many pins you want to use 4 bit or 8 bit.
8 bit is easier to program,but needs more pins.
The software (in C) should be the same for any micro
with minor changes to suit the way your compiler addresses pins.

am using 4 bit mode in dspic30f2010.
and the LCD is 16x1.
using MPlab and the compiler is c30.
i want a simple text message program.
