i have a diff software devc++ will compile in it and let you know 
VB is simple but you its hard to do somethings which u can easily do with C or C++ like bitwise operations and stuff..

I downloaded TurboC and compiled 7seg_key.c
It worked fine the first, but now it does not respond to key presses.

I did and you did,
but it is useful for everyone to know where we are up to.
