changing this project (Data acquisition system using 8051) to another type of DAQ...need help

capacitor are ceramics not a polar
terminal is a program not a hyper terminal

then if i use polar it will not work the microcontroller....

how to check if the microcontroller is working or not....

terminal software can't check is micro controller is working or not
first u has to check max 232 if it is ok then u can move ahead otherwise not
remove controller short 10 and 11 pin by a jumper of controller base
now power up the circuit and open terminal software
set baud rate 9600 and open the port
now send any character let say A
u will see A back it means max232 is ok
now make a simple code that blinks led on any pin
burn this code and check is led is blinking or not
if blinking it means controller s running other wise not working
also check the reset circuit of controller

when i type A i got this value see the pig bellow.......... then i try to connect the microcontroler and the circuit i got some value but it not stable some rising some decreasing why this happen...

For a while I wondered how a bellowing pig got into your project
Majoka said set the baud rate to 9600 and you are using 115k.
If 9600 does not work, try every other baud rate until you find the right one.

i got one doubt the crystal oscillator capacitor is it must be the ceramic ...... or can use polarity capacitor....

Crystal oscillator capacitors are tiny, they don't make Electrolytic (polarity) capacitors
in that range.

Looks like you connect one leg to ground and the other to the input of a
cmos chip such as a CD4049.
The output would be a stream of pulses from 100Hz to a 1000Hz.
Almost any simple gate /chip could be used.

i try to change the baud rate to 9600 but got the same problem.......... and try to change to every baud rate still the same.....

now i can interface microcontroller through max232 but the value of the temparature change place from sensor 1-4 in the VB exe file...why?

and for the 2 leg sensor thank for your advice i will look through it....


and i try to get the data without temp sensor but i get dat on temp sensor the value are 55, 55, 54 55 why this happen is it the adc0808..............pls help......

baud rate should be 9600

but the value of the temperature change place from sensor 1-4 in the VB exe file...why?

i think it is limited in c coding that is why it is updating at 4 only
i not exactly remember
i has a a bad experience also with adc0848
best way is that u use adc0804 and analog mux ic
that will work good as adc0804 do
and best way is pic chip for this project

do u have circuit diagram for adc0804 and analog mux ic and if i change it does it mean i must change the keil programing for the at89s51....
