ok..i got it..kinda..

1st thing is...
u've to generate pulses (lets say 2 pulses) whose period can b entered through keyboard...n u r bothered bot d debounce time of keys
my suggestion is to use timers...

Atmega 32 with sound
simple solution is to connect a beeper/twitter at one pin and when you switch on/off the light also give a pulse to beeper/twitter at the same time..

i've seen the scheme you are using..but please make a note of one thing that if you want to you the same port for two or more peripherals then make sure that all of them are tri-state peripherals...

Bootloader :a program that would programmed permanently into the flash of micro controller and would accept user code via uart and would copy the user code into flash and then user code would execute....

first of all ULN2803 does not have a VCC pin,so no need to connect 5V..
this IC can be directly driven from microcontroller's port pins..
