Hey Good NEWs i've interfaced my microcontroller to T610. I succeeded in calling from it.

Now I want to read sms from it. So how come I know How many byte are there?
Lets say the following example:
+CMGL: 2,"REC READ","+923432547856","FAWAD RAUF MO","10/01/23,23:21:23+20"
v

I've only sent 'v' in it. How many bytes are there in this message?
I mean how many times i've to repeat a loop in order to read v from SBUF....

Then count the string

instead of reading all the SMS from memory, fix 1 place in memory lets say '1' where to read SMS from and after reading delete that sms so that new sms comes to same place.

so when reading SMS, you can send command
AT+CMGR=1
you will get only 1 sms at a time.

and its not easy to get how many bytes are there in SMS, coz this kind of chunk will always come from modem when you send read command,
