GSM Based temperature controlling

hi im makin a temprature controller using 8952 and 1821.i wnt to implement GSM automation in it.that means it could send msgs to the operator regarding present temprature readings.cn u help me out.i dnt exactly knw how to interface a GSM modem and also the AT command programming

i have no idea abt the hardware modem.i knw the nokia AT command set.i have never used GSM modem.plz help

atleast you should select a modem for your project or tell which mobile phone you are going to use..

im gonna use nokia 1100

hmm.. it does not support AT commands.. and FBUS protocol information is not available so far.. for this phone..

wht if i use sony erricsson T150

if it support AT commands then you can use it.. all you need is something that can give your controller an ability to send sms
so any phone with AT command and serial interface will work

im using SIEMENS XT555 modem.

so have you tested the AT commands? are they working on it or not?
