Undertake the project TV REMOTE AS PC MOUSE

Sir i undertake the project TV remote as pc mouse as our major project in college,sir we have come out with hardware according to circuit diagram and burn the hex file i.e.Mouse.hex in the controller but it is not working, sir please suggest us that where there may be fault and i also want to know about the VB SOURCE in this project i.e. what is it and what is its role in our project.
Also tell us sir that is their any perticular remote for this project or any remote can be used?

Only RC5 remote can be used in this project. You can also use a universal remote. VB software is used to read remote key codes sent by controller and then convert it to either mouse operation or keyboard key emulation depending on which mode you've selected.
