Does the DS1307 keep time ?
That is, if you set it to 12.00 and wait 10 minutes does it report 12.10 ?

If so, the problem must be with how you are using the oscilloscope.
Do you have a good earth connection ?
Do you get the right signals on other pins ?

ya its updating the time....

But the frequency of crystal is 50hz

Did you check attenuation level of your probe? Make sure its same as you've selected in oscilloscope.

good point .... probe is 10X but in scope i am not sure!!! ok but Autoscale Should solve this issue rite???

Autoscale does not know what settings you keep on your probe. So you need to go into channel setting and configure right value for probe attenuation.

If the crystal frequency was 50Hz the clock would be way off,
so you must be reading it incorrectly.

Have you checked that the probe is working and properly connected ?

Attenuation of the probe will not affect frequency readings.

Try to change the DS1307 chip. It might have gone faulty.
