help n advise needed on pic project

hi...currently im doin a project 4 my 2nd year degree..need assist n advice n guidance....
im doin a project on attendance service and alcohol detector..the project is like tis...its goin 2 b create for companies o factories o even offices...it consists of id entry which wil build by using keypad n screen...then the alcohol detector and door lock and unlock circuit...all connected 2 a pic..every 1 of tis i hv 2 build...im out of time..im stil fresh wit programming n assembling...i wana learn through tis project...so i js nid sm guidance...thx

well.. as you said you do not have much knowledge of programming so.. i would suggest you to do some part of your project... and not all.. doing every thing at once for you might now be possible or wont be good for you at the moment i think.. coz you may get confuse and project will hang in middle i hope you understand why i am saying like this..

So just try to make one part of this project.. ID entry + door lock you can start with interfacing keypad and LCD.. then i will tell you to move further.
Do tell me what you think about my advice..

hi mr ajay...thx 4 ur reply...really appreciate it...i dun tink i can drop any part of tis project...cz my lecturer wans it 2 b vy attractive...he wans a project tat i can market..im stuck wit no chance...but i hv 3 more members in my group n 7 months time....plz guide me through sir...i dun hv choice...i proposed 4 title n he reject all n he oni accepted tis...

Ajay is not saying u to drop any part of this project...he is just saying u to proceed step by step, so dat u may not get confused.
once u complete ID entry + door lock , u can easily proceed to next step :-)
