hi
i am connecting my AUBTM-20 module with ATmega8 controller using UART. i am able to send command through controller. for every command Module gives error. please help me out. i am using bascomAVR to program the controller.

The aubtm is 3.3V module. so if u had connected your module to 5V then it may be dead by now.

use 3.3v regulator like LM1117-3.3 to provide the 3.3v supply to AUBTM 20.

The rx and tx pin of AUBTM 20 are also not 5v tolerable, so its better that you use a pair of MAX232 and MAX3232. ie. max232 on microcontroller side and max3232 on aubtm20 side.

do you get "OK" reply form bluetooth module when you switch it on?

i am using module with UART facility. when i connect module to my controller its not gving "OK". when i send LLL its give "O"

is the baud rate same of both the host and the module?

and try sending "AT" and "CrLfATCrLf"

its clearly the baudrate issue as I see. what is the module's and AVR's baudrate?

both module and ATmega8 work on 9600 baud rate i have vrified it. so i dont think there is a baud rate problem. thank you AJAY and SUMANT for your kind replies.

Try connecting your AUBTM 20 to a PC and using a program such as
Terminal or Hyperterminal to talk to it.

in my project I am using ATmega8 to send command to BT module AUBTM-20. i have checked AUBTM-20 on hyper terminal its working well. but problem is with controller. please help me

Have you tried using the PC to talk to the ATmega8 ?
