Nice, but very complex. Non-engineers can do the same thing using a pre-built CAN dongle and easier code. Look at
ECOM dongle for a CAN device that uses an 8051 as its core, but already has a programming interface for PCs.
Every major microcontroller manufacturer also provides many CAN examples for driving steppers and such based on reference designs. How long does it take to get all this working?

hello sir, this is very nice project. i want to make this project in my M.Tech course. But i've one quary, since CAN is used for communication between two controller but that is not shown here & second thing is that how RS485 protocol is used here.

Hi... Mmm chaitan.... I m doin the same CAN project but using pic microcontroller... Here it communicates between 2 nodes... One node senses the temperature of the device and other senses the level of the fuel... PLZ HELP ME.. I DONT HAVE THE CIRCUIT NOR THE SOURCE CODE.. PLZ SEND me detail of this...
