i have only 4 bits of p2 available,the upper nibble is already in use.so,how should i write

i can't write like 1/2(p2) or #define lcd_port P2.because this may disturb the application running on p2.4,p2.5,p2.6,p2.7

I am doing project interfacing keypad with microcontroler

i am trying with 3x4 matrix keyboard &16*2 lcd. I googled two days gone through many codes but unable to make it. Even gone through tutorial on this ite also,

Still i din get proper complete program. I knew its not nice to ask complete code from others.
Since i am getting confused to catch the concept, can somebody give me basic assembly code to
If u upload the schematic of the code will help me better to mingle with proteus, If does not have i will make it.
After all i just need basic code & full information of project.. If u really want myself to design, please guide me some procedures or tips. Because for the past two days i am trying hard but end up with somewhere else.
