i think that source would be just fine for testing. Just be sure that u have removed he burden resistance in the current sensing circuit before introducing this source to prevent loading of the voltage source.

Thanks PDI for the reply :-) & Wish u a very Happy weekend Journey to Lucknow
Ya As of now for testing I won't connect the Burden resistance. and even there are some of other major issues involved in this current & voltage channels which we do clarify later once I finish my Soldering of basic circuitry

Guys :-)
I got stuck in one more problem of this giving out the +5V Supply to the ADE Chip. :-s Since ADE7758 requires two voltage levels like AVDD and DVDD , the ADE guys in their reference board schematics had done this below circuit & me didn't understand why this one is required.

and with reference to that connector terminal they have mentioned something like this. I really don't understand where I have to give the 5V input from the supply. :mad
(Here P10 is nothing but P7 terminal in my schematics and JP21 & JP22 are JP25 and JP26)

Thanks ExperimenterUK,
Ya AVDD is just same as DVDD but has got some filter for the isolation. :-) I was bit confused with that one more 5V external input. Anyhow all the things been clear. Here is the modified circuit of the same . and that another 5V is the external o/p to AND circuitary when we connect the board to through SPI to communicate with parallel port of PC via GUI Software provided from ADE. :-)

Hi: -)
So coming back to old topic , As PDI said for testing purpose, for one channel i have rigged up the Ckt bt wat about the other 5 channels. Can I leave it open or I need to give the same input source for that tooo from the same ckt

Hi Guyz :-)
Well, finally my basic circuitry of ADE7758 got over but the main problem is now how can I check the o/p for the input given. ( Just to see whether the basic circuitry and the chip is working or not before proceeding for the next level)
As I know the only possibilities of checking the ADE7758 o/p's are
1. APCF ( Active Power Calibration frequency Logic O/p) Pin.
2. VARCF( Reactive Power Calibration frequency Logic o/p)pin.
3. Via SPI Communication from the controller.
As PDI said I have given input to the one current channel from voltage divider network by making use of step down transformer . So for checking the o/p, as given in the test ckt of datasheet , I have connected LED's to the APCF and VARCF pin. But nothing been changing in LED o/p :-s

Hi PDI Bhai :-) Zara Apna project par thoda nazar daal dejiye naaa
well, Here in brief I want to clarify out below things. :-)
1. Can I measure the pulsed o/p of Power consumed in APCF and VARCF ( reactive power) pins. But till now I haven't got any o/p from that.
2. For the testing purpose, Can i go with AC Single phase 240V rather than three phase since the each channel is independent.
3. Is it necessary to get any o/p ( Even Pulsed o/p) in ADE7758 , first we need to do the Calibration.

hi sanath,
well, i have to confess i know as much as u do ( maybe even a little less now! ) about the reactive power concept . But looking at the AD 77xx datasheet, i would like to point ur attention to the figure 34 test circuit which suggests that the APCF/VARCF pins do provide a pulsed output and note that u have to provide the same voltage /current to all the three inputs in the testing circuit. maybe that is a reason u are not getting the pulses . Also better if u check the pulses on the CRO.
