A question on biosensors

Is there any special sensors to identify the presence of specific proteins in foodstuffs.Like if I want to detect the presence of a particular allergant in a given food substance .Can somebody help me with this.I would really appreciate.

its more of a biotech project if i am not wrong, but i have no idea about any such sensor. Would love to hear more about any good information you have.
