hi frnz..! :-)

i want to interface nokia 1100 wid microcontrollers (any core) in future..

for dis i've to 1st connect nokia 1100 wid my computer..
i've a serial cable for nokia 1100 n a USB to serial cable as my computer does not ve a serial port..
wen i try to check my connections in hyperterminal by typing "AT" it is showin "NO CARRIER"...

i hope u'll help me out wid dis..

now i m able to connect it..i m getting an "OK" after typing "AT"..

wat next..?which AT commands i should try..?

try this command ATI3 (ati3) and tell me the response.

hi ajay..!

i m not able to connect to my phone now...actually last time i did some settings in hyperterminal n my phone got connected to my lappi..but i did not save dat connection..now i m not able to connect to my phone n forgot d settings as well..
could u pls tell me d different settings in hyperterminal
i.e. shall i use country code/area code while dialing,..etc...etc..

i am also like to interface mobile with controller but i dont lnow atcommands
but this method for checking is too good

rushi can you give me information regarding cable u used for connecting nokia1100 with computer

hi kamesh..!

i m also quite new to these AT commands n all..

but i can tell u bot d serial cable i m using...

just ask for a serial cable for nokia 1100,i hope u'll get it in d market...

if u open d battery cover of nokia 1100 u'll find 4 contacts available on its PCB for connection...this serial cable has DB9 connector on one side and 4 contacts on the other end are going to the PCB of the mobile...

keep in touch n let me know ur progress...

This sounds like an "F-bus" connector.
Like Ajay, I'm surprised the 1100 supports AT commands.

As for Hyperterminal..in the "Connect to" box,
if you select Com 1 (or whatever you are using) in the "Connect using" field.
You don't need to setup phone numbers etc.
