Cant get it to work? :(

Hello. I have installed everything correctly ...though i doesnt have my site in public_html.....the e107-site is in the same map as public_html....siteroot....and i guess the htaccess-file just shall be in the root of the site so i putted it with the sitefiles.... And it doesnt work...

I was wondering if i still shall put the htaccessfile in public_html though e107 is outside of it... If so, how shall i point the htaccess-file outside of the public_html to the root instead of pointing it to subdirectorys inside it...?

i dont think you need to do anything.. just you need to set the rewrite base thats all.
Ok.. here is what you need to do..
currently your rewrite rules are in format..

RewriteRule index.html news.php

so change all the links to.. following format..

RewriteRule ^index.html /news.php

so all you need to do is add ^ and / in all the rewrite rules.
Please also provide the link to your website so that i can check the problem in better way.
First setup the .htaccess file only then install FURL.
