Hi guys i am planning to do mini cnc machine to make pcbs i have got all the materials including 3x10kg stepper motors (Bi-polar) i am using SMPS power supply from meanwell.
I am using K-Cam software as interpreter
however i am making my own driver hardware if you guys have or known about some good high current driver circuits for bi-polar stepper motor plz post it.

hi jeswanthmg
good idea
what is the current of stepper motors
some circuits for dc motors r on this link
these r for dc motors but can be used for stepper if current limits meets

Hi majoka that link has no stepper motor driver but look at this circuit its cool its what exactly i wanted

i will test an construct 3 of this circuit for each axis and through parallel port i will configure k-cam software to send the pulses according to pcb layout.

hi majoka one more thing do you have any idea on PCB to G-Code converter software it would be of great help.

Hello jeswanthmg...

for hardware design of machine see this site this will help you...

CNC on a Budget

you will use Mach 3???

Download Mach 3 here

and to generate G.Code you can use CopperCAM.......

first generate CAM file with any PCB designing software and then generate G.Code of it using CopperCAM.... see this link for more help..

Generating G.Code from CAM file

no dear i am Telecomm Engineer not mechanical but i did some work with CNC using Match 3 to write G.Code....

never used it for PCB makig i used this for some mechanical work that was requirment of a university to sattle some small CNC Machine for their mechanical lab work.....

people are using CNC for pcb manufacturing i see some home made machines that are in use.......

you can make your own see the link that i provided in upper post that was CNC Budget....

best of luck...
